Julian Fris, our founder, was named as a finalist for the Public Sector Caterer Award at the 2026 Cateys.
The Cateys, hosted by The Caterer magazine, are highly regarded awards that celebrate the exceptional talent of people and businesses in the hospitality sector.
Each nominee, finalist and recipient is selected by a distinguished panel of industry professionals and they represent the highest form of industry recognition for any hospitality establishment or individual.
Julian and Neller Davies were nominated by healthcare champion, Andy Jones.
The awards ceremony brings together almost 1,000 of the country’s top operators for a fantastic evening of celebration.
The Public Sector Caterer Award recognises individuals and organisations that have excelled in public-sector catering, including the education and healthcare sectors. This award celebrates those who continuously innovate while prioritising the welfare of their guests.
Julian’s nomination for this award highlights his and the Neller Davies team’s collaborative efforts to innovate in public-sector food delivery. Catering in this sector faces numerous challenges, including budgeting, staffing, and sourcing. Julian consistently advocates for innovation, aiming to enhance the experience and wellbeing of those receiving meals. This includes patients in hospitals, for whom food is essential for recovery, as well as staff members who require nutritious meals to fuel and energise them for the day ahead.
